Slow looking – what do you see when you look long and hard?

The Nano Lens is a project that focuses – both literally and figuratively – on the exploration of visual experience and redefining what it means to look. We are a citizen science project to enable the public to explore the nanoscale by looking closely at the details of nature through art and science.

Founded by Chiara Neto, Chiara O’Reilly, and Alice Williamson from the University of Sydney, Nano Lens is a collaboration between researchers from Arts and Science, supported through funding from the University of Sydney Nano Institute (Sydney Nano) and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, through its Sydney Social Sciences and Humanities Research Centre (SSHARC).
